DEXA SCAN
DEXA or Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry is a novel concept based again on the seemingly
ubiquitous X-rays. It uses two X-ray beam of different energy levels which are passed through the patient. Before casting their image, the X-ray tend to pass through both soft tissues & bones. The soft tissue absorption is subtracted to quantify the bone mineral density.
CT SCAN
We at NIRNOY HOSPITAL have 16 slices CT of GE Healthcare that has 16 rows of CT detectors inside the gantry to produce images, the usefulness lies in reducing the scan time, better resolution & faster coverage of a specific area of pathology. NICU
Nirnoy Hospital has fully equiped 6 bed Tertiary level 3 NICU.
